About Wadi Rum Bedouins
The first eco-tourism group in Wadi Rum, preserving Bedouin heritage since 2010.
Our Story
Wadi Rum Bedouins is the first eco-tourism group in Wadi Rum. We are led by Zeid Al Zlabiah and his brothers, members of the Bedouin Al Zlabiah tribe. Our families have lived in this desert for generations, moving between Rum Village and the open desert, deeply connected to the land and our traditions.
Hosting tourists, guiding them through the desert, and teaching them about Bedouin life is a way for us to share and keep our heritage alive. We believe in sustainable tourism that preserves the desert while providing authentic experiences.
First group in Wadi Rum committed to sustainable tourism practices and environmental preservation.
Living traditions passed down through generations, shared with genuine hospitality.
Founders of Jordan's first climbing club with deep knowledge of the desert terrain.
Over a decade of guiding tourists through unforgettable desert adventures.
Meet the Team
Our team consists of experienced Bedouin guides from the Al Zlabiah tribe. Each guide brings unique skills, from rock climbing expertise to traditional cooking, storytelling, and deep knowledge of the desert's history and ecology.
Founder & Lead Guide
Zeid founded Wadi Rum Bedouins with a vision to share Bedouin culture while protecting the desert. An expert climber and passionate conservationist, he leads by example in sustainable tourism practices.
Our Achievements
Our Philosophy
We use only mobile bivouacs and pack out everything we bring in. The desert should remain pristine for future generations.
By sharing our way of life with visitors, we keep Bedouin traditions alive and relevant in the modern world.
No tourist camps or artificial experiences. We offer genuine Bedouin hospitality in the real desert environment.
Tourism provides sustainable income for Bedouin families while maintaining our connection to the land.
