Getting to Wadi Rum

By Air

Fly into Amman (Queen Alia – AMM) or Aqaba (King Hussein – AQJ). Aqaba is the closest airport to Wadi Rum (~1 hour by road).

By Bus / Coach

From Aqaba or Amman, you can use intercity buses or private transfers. Ask us for the current best bus times. Many travelers also use private taxis or pre-booked drivers for flexibility.

By Car

Driving from Aqaba ~1 hr, from Petra ~1.5 hrs, from Amman ~4 hrs. Follow signs to Wadi Rum Visitor Center for entry formalities and vehicle switching to desert transportation.

Quick Tips

Best Time

Spring (Mar–May) and Autumn (Sep–Nov) offer comfortable temperatures. Winter nights can be cold; summer days can be hot—plan layers & sun protection.

What to Pack

Comfortable walking shoes, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, a warm layer for evenings, power bank, and a reusable water bottle.

Connectivity

Signal can be limited deep in the desert. Consider a local SIM or eSIM in cities; enjoy digital detox in camp.

Money

Currency is Jordanian Dinar (JOD). ATMs are available in cities; bring some cash for tips and small purchases.

Park & Safety

Enter via the official Visitor Center, keep your ticket/Jordan Pass, follow your guide's instructions, and respect the desert environment.
